Further guidance will be given before the test on the structure and how to prepare. This course sound really interesting but this course is the most boring arts paper I have taken so far. My tutor was Azim, who was fantastic: Likewise, his lectures make no sense, are confusing and poorly organised. If you a genuinely interested in international relations then despite being difficult, you’ll manage.
Not a good course. Even though she tended to read off the slides, the slides themselves were packed full of information which actually made it easier in terms of the final exam’s essays especially for case studies and how certain theories apply to them. Anita is as described in the other reviews, not engaging at all. This review was posted on May 17, Really just so much content, pushing leftist views to the max. When choosing to take this course, the content sounded fascinating and I couldn’t wait until semester 2.
How is inequality manifest in contemporary global politics and how can it be best explained?

The essay questions were written in such a way that you could really only answer coursewogk from the perspective they wanted you to.
My tutor Kamala was really lovely and did her best to make the relatively strict course guideline interesting. This review was posted on July 01, This review was posted politica June 15, His political preferences are clear from the get-go and this led his lectures as well as the course to follow a SJW route. This in itself wan’t bad, I recognize this way of learning may be beneficial to others but it wasn’t for me personally. Generally, the paper is not what you’d expect if you don’t come from a political background, no current political events were discussed, it was all around theories and associated theorists.
I hated Pol Also it’s not that feminist. By the end of the course you should possess: I didn’t have a huge problem with the course itself as I am centre-left but I can definitely see why people are frustrated.
I hated everything about it at first – the lectures, the tutorials, the assignments – but it does get better if you don’t just give up and stop trying. I found her to be a bit whiney on certain issues and coureework is quite monotone. I still have no f’ing clue what’s happening, and we’re halfway through the semester.
Really just so much content, pushing leftist views to the max.
I would highly recommend making sure you get Azim as a tutor. Paul Kramer is the best tutor you will ever have at university. Anita Lacey, guice lecturer, is totally dull, boring and just parrots back the textbook.
Yoa a firm foundation for an understanding of politics and international relations but must admit, it is hard to get high grades in this paper especially with regards to the essay. We started off with a dude called Steven Hoadley who was blatantly right wing and this showed through in his lecturing. Tutorials were pretty useful to evaluate the week’s material. This review was posted on June 12, Her lectures, in my opinion, were the most helpful. The subject matter had the potential to be riveting and the team of tutors, especially Paul, were excellent. The booklet usually contains essays submitted by lecturers and edited by a postgraduate student.
As a result, we decided to create Nga Tohutohu. The list of examples and questions, along with further advice, will be circulated as early as possible. Above all, we are committed to teaching our students how to learn, so that they will be equipped to exercise their citizenship, actively engage, and maybe even offer solutions to the critical issues of the 21 st century. However, Anita the Dementor was the driest and most biased lecturer I have encountered.
Do not suffer in silence. If you’re right poitics or have different political preferences to the views introduced in the course, you may find yourself wanting to blow your head off.
For future students, don’t take it. This review was posted on November 06, Sorry, that again is just a historical fact.
